Weed and An Orange County Beaches Map Can Elevate Your Summer

Laguna Beach coastline with waves, cliffs, palm trees, and golden sunlight

With summer in full swing, heading to the beach is a no-brainer for many. Whether you’re an OC local or a tourist checking out what this beautiful region has to offer, there’s a good chance you’ll find something new if you dig a little past the hottest tourist spots. If you’re looking for a new beach adventure this summer, an Orange County beaches map and some weed will be your best friend.

Fortunately, we have plenty of Orange County beaches maps to choose from. The California Coastal Commission has a great, thorough beaches map that covers all of the facilities each beach has to offer. California’s Best Beaches website has a great Orange County beach map, too. Between these two resources and your handy map app, you can find the best hidden gems to cozy up and get your tan on.

Free Orange County beaches

Many of our visiting OC dispensary customers are surprised to discover that not all of the beaches here are free. Many impose an entry fee to fund maintenance operations. But that doesn’t mean all of the beaches come at a cost.

Newport and Balboa beach

Open daily from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., Newport and Balboa Beach are free to the public. Complete with picnic areas, showers, restrooms, lifeguards, a boardwalk, and nearby parks, there’s enough to keep you busy all day.

Salt Creek Beach (but parking is not free)

Open from 5 a.m. to midnight and known as one of the best surfing spots, Salt Creek Beach is free to access. However, parking costs $1 per hour. Along with restrooms, showers, picnic areas, and lifeguards, this beach also includes a seasonal concession stand and Bluff Park.

Orange County beaches with entry fees

Many of the other popular Orange County beaches cost $15 for entry. These include popular spots like Bolsa Chica State Beach, Huntington Beach, Corona Del Mar Beaches, Crystal Cove Beach, Doheny State Beach, and San Clemente State Beach.

Find hidden gems with an Orange County Beaches Map

We highly recommend checking out the map from the California Coastal Commission for an in-depth look at what each beach has to offer.

For example, the map highlights Poche Beach. You have to take a stairway on the inland side of the Pacific Coast Highway and reach an underpass beneath the highway to the railroad tracks to find it. It’s not an amazing spot for leisurely beachgoing, but it is sometimes considered a hidden gem among surfers.

If you want a fresh beach adventure, we recommend just picking a few spots you’ve never been to/heard of on the map and checking them out. They might not all be winners, but you could end up finding a new favorite.

Weed and the beach: a match made in heaven

You can’t go wrong with some weed, sunshine, and sand. In fact, it’s hard to think of anything better than that exact combination.

Some of our Orange County dispensary customers live on private beach property. For those people, it’s easy to smoke a joint from the comfort of their porch and then walk on over to the beach. For those using the public beaches, just know that smoking on the beach is not allowed.

That doesn’t mean people don’t use cannabis when they enjoy the beaches. It just means you should follow your best judgment. For some, that’s enjoying a subtle edible or joint before walking to the beach. For others, it’s looking forward to an ice cold cannabis beverage when you get home.

If you’re choosing to indulge responsibly, just know that our Costa Mesa cannabis dispensary is near all of the great Orange County beaches. Whether you decide to hit a popular classic like Laguna Beach or find your own hidden cove, we have you covered. You can stock up on your way in or out of the beach to guarantee the good vibes keep rolling.

Stock up for an Orange County beach day

Our Costa Mesa cannabis dispensary is just a 15-minute drive from Newport Beach and Huntington Beach, making it a convenient stop for heading in or out. From Laguna Beach, we’re a convenient ~20 minute drive away. (Just remember, you could face a fine if you consume cannabis in public on the beach.)

No matter what beach you decide to visit, we have you covered with an excellent selection of cannabis products for all walks of life. Cool off with an ice cold cannabis beverage or light up a joint on the porch after a long day of sunbathing. However you choose to indulge, stop by High Seas to stock up first.
