What to Do In Costa Mesa This Spring

Spring in Costa Mesa is a wildly underrated season. It’s mild, breezy, and not too warm or cold. It’s a lively time of year with community events, outdoor activities, and endless great dining for tourists and locals alike. Whether you’re headed to OC for spring break or just looking to stay connected this season, here are our top picks for what to do in Costa Mesa this spring, courtesy of our OC dispensary team.

Costa Mesa Farmers’ Market

Although the Costa Mesa Farmers’ Market runs year round, the spring season brings a special magic. With fresh local fruits, vegetables, eggs, breads, delicious tamales, pupusas, and hand-crafted artwork, the market has something for everyone.

We love the Costa Mesa Farmers’ market not just because of the amazing fresh produce, food, and local artwork, but because it also aligns with our beliefs. As an eco-friendly cannabis dispensary,  we care about sustainable solutions. The SOCO Farmer’s Market feels the same, noting that small farms need fewer pesticides and fertilizers, protecting soils, streams, amphibians, and birds. Plus, local markets mean lower carbon emissions. It’s a win-win for all.

The market takes place every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., rain or shine.

Want a little boost for your visit? We recommend a low-dose, daytime edible such as Camino Sparkling Pear gummies (with 2 mg THC and 6 mg CBD per serving). Breez sativa mints, which contain 10 mg of THC per mint and provide a discreet way to dose.

Self-guided art walk

Costa Mesa has a unique and creative offering: a permanent, self-guided art walk that you can enjoy year round. It’s especially nice in the spring, when the temperature is mild and the people are out and about. It’s a great opportunity to explore the city on foot solo or with friends. Whether you’re a local looking for new Costa Mesa activities or a traveler looking to get a better idea of the city, the art walk is a great opportunity to connect with the community.

The art walk features more than 20 unique pieces of art tucked between buildings, green spaces, shopping centers, and more. You can check out the map and even listen to the audio tour here.

Our Costa Mesa dispensary team loves the combination of luxury cannabis and art. If you want to pair the two, we recommend a discreet vape option, such as the Jetty Blue Dream vape cart, which provides a clear-headed but potent high perfect for viewing art. Or, go for an energizing edible such as Potters Live Resin Dragon Fruit Energize gummies to make the walk around town that much more enjoyable. Just be sure to follow Costa Mesa cannabis regulations–no public consumption, no driving under the influence.

The 36th Annual Southern California Spring Garden Show

If you’re anything like our Costa Mesa weed dispensary team, you probably like plants (and not just the ones that get you high). The Southern California Spring Garden Show is a must-visit for plant enthusiasts, featuring more than 40 garden vendors and a great selection of indoor and outdoor garden displays.

This year’s theme is “At Home in the Garden” and takes place April 23-26, 2026 in the Crate & Barrel/Macy’s Home Store Wings of the South Coast Plaza.

Explore Fairview Park

Spring in Costa Mesa is perfect for leisurely outdoor activities. The heat is generally mild and the breeze feels calm and refreshing. One of our favorite places to visit during the spring is Fairview Park.

With more than 200 acres of land, the park spans across open fields, hills, trails, and a forest. You can take a hike, go on a leisurely walk, or even ride your bike through the trails.

When you visit this park in the spring, you might see tall wild flowers in bloom. The birds tend to mingle around these beautiful blooms, all set on a gorgeous background of native California plants and foliage. In June, the Costa Mesa Lions Club even hosts an annual fish fry which typically serves upwards of 20,000 people.

Take a 360 tour of the Fairview Park to see more.

Want to get as high as the kites flying around the park? Try the Juana Uplift live resin vape or Smokiez Uplift Lemonade gummies. Both offer discreet ways to dose with pleasant effects that pair perfectly with a day at the park. As we’ve cautioned above, be sure to not publicly use cannabis in Costa Mesa and never drive under the influence.

Venture to see the wildflowers

If you’re up for an adventure, take a short trip out of Costa Mesa to see the beautiful wildflowers on display. From March to May, Chino Hills State Park tends to get bright orange poppies – so long as we get enough rain beforehand. The drive from our Costa Mesa dispensary to Chino Hills State Park is just over 30 minutes, making it an easy day trip that accommodates stocking up on luxury cannabis on your way in or out.

Another great place to view the wildflowers is Dana Point Headlands. With a short and easy hike complemented by gorgeous views of the ocean, the wildflower trails here are not to be missed. Like Chino Hills State Park, this wildflower viewing point is about a half hour drive from our boutique cannabis store.

Laguna Coast Wilderness Park and Whiting Ranch Wilderness Park also provide beautiful views of the wildflowers this time of year.
